Garden
Living
The best gardens invariably strike a happy balance between decking/paving,
walling and planting. Time spent carefully considering your
deck or patio will not only provide an attractive area to sit
out and enjoy but help to show off the rest of your garden and
property to best advantage. Gone are the days when you were
limited to grey, square concrete flagstones. We are more than
happy to offer our knowledge and experience when it comes to
blending or contrasting timber and/or paving with house and
garden styles. Design
We will visit you in the comfort of your own home to discuss
your ideas / requirements and give you the benefit of our
experience in design, colour and material choice, which with
pictures and brochures will enable you to get a better idea
of how your finished patio or deck will look. We will always
offer you the solution that is the best possible within the
available budget and will never compromise on the stability
of the construction.
Construction
Your choice between timber and stone may be simply based on
colour or texture. It may however take into account slightly
more practical issues such as the fact that timber decking
does not require extensive digging for foundations and support,
therefore disturbance to your well-tended garden is minimal.
Also time may be a factor. Timber solutions usually have a
much quicker install time; a typical deck for smaller plots
may be laid in one day. Timber can also be used to re-cover
an existing structure without being compromised by what is
underneath. On the other hand however a stone patio is arguably
more permanent.
